Huskie Troy White has had a
spectacular summer in the Northwood League, considered to be one of the top
collegiate baseball league's in the country, and will begin the playoffs this
week with Battle Creek Bombers. The team won the South Division with a record
of 43-26 during the regular season and will begin a playoff series with the
Green Bay Bullfrogs Aug. 15 at 7:05 p.m.White, a native of Chicago has appeared in 62 contests this season at third base for the Bombers and even played in this year's Northwood League All Star Game. He is currently hitting .282 at the plate and is the top-fielding third basemen in the league with a fielding percentage of .961. He is also 16th in the league hits and amongst the league leaders in extra base hits with 22.
