Hopkins-Jasmin-2010-003.jpgNames like Hammock, Turner, Wolfe and Spann are part of NIU's long-standing tradition of producing successful running backs. Senior Jas Hopkins is looking to add his name to that list.  A native of Stanley, N.C., Hopkins came to Northern Illinois via Fort Scott Community College where he was the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year in 2009. Rick Armstrong posted this story in the Aurora Beacon News on the 5-9, 180 lb tailback.

Also, if you're going to the game tomorrow, be sure to pick up a copy of the game program. Matt Scheerer of NIU Media Relations wrote an excellent feature story on Hopkins and his career at Fort Scott.
