FOURTEEN HUSKIES COMPETING IN NFL TRAINING CAMPS

Training camps are underway in the National Football League and Northern Illinois is well-represented with 14 alums competing for roster spots on 11 different teams. Among that group are six members of last season's MAC Championship squad. Here is the full breakdown of where these former Huskies are playing.

While Free played last night in Dallas' 24-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, the remaining former Huskies will start their preseason this weekend - including four to be broadcast live on national TV. It starts Thursday with Schiller and the Falcons playing against the Cincinnati Bengals at 7 p.m. on ESPN, while English and Ashford will take the field in the San Diego-Seattle contest later that night on NFL Network. NFLN will also carry Saturday's New York Giants-Pittsburgh Steelers contest featuring Alan Baxter and Sunday's Buffalo Bills-Indianapolis Colts game with Chandler Harnish and Nathan Palmer.
