Travis Misner, NIU's new development assistant, was featured in Wednesday's edition of the Kane County Chronicle for his role as the chairman of the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The St. Charles, Ill., native and graduate of St. Charles North High School played baseball at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, before taking his current role at NIU. Misner's leadership role also afforded him the opportunity to travel to Taiwan in March 2012 to take part in a conference with student-athletes from over 60 different nations. As a result, he will also head to Kazan, Russia, this weekend for the World University Games.
