Men's Basketball: It was an up-and-down week for Northern Illinois on the road, as they split their two games in the Great Lakes State. On Wednesday, the Huskies came away with an impressive 74-61 win at Central Michigan, with Abdel Nader scoring a game-high 23 points. They followed that up with a rough 42-25 loss at Eastern Michigan Saturday.

Women's Basketball: The Huskies continued their mid-season struggles during the week with two home losses. Despite a valiant second half rally on Wednesday against Western Michigan, NIU lost to the Broncos, 54-51. It was a similar tale Saturday, as Northern fell in the final seconds to Toledo, 44-42.

Wrestling: NIU couldn't snap their losing streak Saturday, as they fell to #7 Missouri and Eastern Michigan. In the first half of the doubleheader, the Huskies dropped a close 22-17 decision to EMU. They followed that up with a 39-3 loss to the nationally-ranked Tigers.

Gymnastics: Northern Illinois suffered their first loss of the season Friday night, as they were ousted by Ball State, 192.475-192.075. NIU outscored BSU in three events and Megan Melendez won the balance beam, but it was not enough against the Cardinals.

Track & Field: NIU posted several great individual performances at the Indiana Relays. Rebecca Cronin won the 600 meters on Friday, while Sidra Sherrill inched closer to breaking the school's indoor shot put record with a 46-09.00 (14.25m) toss.

Men's Tennis: The Huskies kicked off their home schedule Friday with a pair of dominating wins against UW-Whitewater and Chicago State in Rockford. NIU beat the Warhawks, 6-1, and swept the Cougars, 7-0.

Pleasant, Mich. where Northern dropped an 83-56 contest against Central Michigan.

Wrestling: NIU pushed #12 Central Michigan, but could not pull off the upset Friday in a 23-12 loss to the Chippewas. Wins by Nick Smith, Kevin Fanta and Andrew Morse put the Huskies up 9-7 at halftime, but it was not enough against CMU's strong upper weight wrestlers.
