DEKALB, Ill. - The dates for the annual Northern Illinois men's and women's basketball alumni games were announced by the Huskie athletics department Friday. The women's game is scheduled for Jan. 23, while the men's alumni contest will be held on Feb. 13.

All former Northern Illinois basketball players, coaches and managers of both the Huskie men's and women's basketball teams are invited back to attend the day-long event. The NIU 2009-10 women's team will take on Buffalo Jan. 23 beginning at 2 p.m., and the men's squad will face Ball State Feb. 13 at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, Jan. 23, Convocation Center doors will open at 9 a.m. for the women's alumni game, which is scheduled to tip-off at 10:15 a.m. The RSVP deadline for the women's event is Wednesday, Jan. 20. For the men's event, on Saturday, Feb. 13, doors are scheduled to open at 10 a.m., in preparation for the 11:30 tip-off of the alumni game.

All alumni will be recognized at halftime of the respective men's or women's game later that day. Admission to the Alumni Game is free to those with a ticket to the ensuing regular season contest.
