DeKALB, Ill. - NIU Athletics is loading up the bus and hitting the road...literally.

Northern Illinois University Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Sean T. Frazier and the NIU Athletics head coaches, including head football coach Rod Carey, men's basketball coach Mark Montgomery and women's basketball coach Kathi Bennett, will be in Chicago, Rockford and Aurora this June spreading Huskie pride and visiting with NIU fans and alumni.  For fans in DeKalb and Sycamore, our annual August Movie Night will serve as the Summer Circuit stop.

The Huskie Summer Circuit 2014 will debut in Chicago on Monday, June 2nd when the NIU bus will bring Frazier and nearly every NIU head coach to Joe's on Weed (940 W. Weed St.), where they will visit with fans and update alumni on what's going on with Huskie Athletics from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

One day later, on Tuesday, June 3rd, the Huskie pack will be at Franchesco's in Rockford (7182 Spring Creek Rd.) before closing out the road portion of the 2014 Summer Circuit on Thursday, June 4th at The Foundry in Aurora (85 Executive Dr.). Those events will also take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

"The Summer Circuit is a great way for our athletics administrators and head coaches to meet our fans and alumni in a fun and casual setting," Frazier said. "I look forward to loading up the bus here in DeKalb with our staff and coaches and taking this group across the region."

Each stop on the Huskie Summer Circuit will have music, appetizers, a cash bar and a raffle for great prizes like tickets to NIU sporting events, golf foursomes and more. Attendees will hear from Frazier, Carey and the head coaches in a group and individual settings. Information on purchasing season tickets and becoming a donor to the Huskie Athletic Fund will be available.
