Lindsey Hicks has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Students at Northern Illinois University since September 2009. Hicks' responsibilities at NIU include serving as the primary liaison for coaches, student-athletes, boosters and the university community for all aspects of the Northern Illinois University compliance program. In this role, Hicks manages the eligibility processing of student-athletes and coordinates interactions between coaches, current and prospective student-athletes and the NCAA. In addition, Hicks supervises the Huskie Athletic Compliance Office internship programs. She is also the primary administrator for all educational outreach efforts and she coordinates the department's Athletic Financial Aid program.
Hicks joined the NIU compliance staff after two years at University of Texas, where she served as the Compliance Assistant. While at Texas, Hicks served as the primary liaison for monitoring daily operations for Bylaws 11(Personnel), 14 (Eligibility), 15 (Financial Aid) and 23 (Academic Performance Program). In addition, she supported the Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance Services in monitoring the daily operations of Bylaws 5 (Legislative Process) and 22 (Athletics Certification).
Additionally, Hicks is a member of the Communication Committee for the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and serves as the Website Coordinator for NAAC.
Prior to NIU and the University of Texas, Hicks served as a Graduate Assistant in the Compliance Office at the University of Central Florida.
Hicks is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she majored in sport management. While at Florida, Hicks participated as a four-year student-athlete for the Gator women's soccer program. Upon graduation from Florida, Hicks obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration as well as Sport Business Management from the University of Central Florida in 2008.
Lindsey resides in DeKalb, Illinois with her husband Jeff.
