The Northern Illinois-IMG sports Network Listeners throughout Northern Illinois and across the Midwest can hear Northern Illinois football on the radio each week through the three stations that make up the Northern Illinois IMG Sports Network in 2012, including 50,000-watt powerhouse WSCR 670 AM in Chicago, long-time Huskie flagship station WLBK-AM 1360 in DeKalb, and ESPN 1380 WTJK AM in Janesville, Wis. In September, several Huskie games (in their entirety) will move from WSCR to WYLL AM 1160 due to conflicts with the Chicago White Sox broadcasts also carried on the Score. For the most up-to-date weekly listing, see the "Follow the Huskies" link on www.NIUHuskies.com. Network coverage begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff and features a preview of the Huskies' upcoming game along with a look at the Mid-American Conference. Following the game, listeners hear directly from NIU head coach Dave Doeren as part of the post-game show. The veteran broadcasting trio of Bill Baker, Mark Lindo and Casey Kahler return to call all the action for NIU football broadcasts in 2012. Baker, 64, begins his 33rd year as the play-by-play voice of Northern Illinois football and basketball in 2012. A member of the NIU Athletics Hall of Fame, Baker also hosts the weekly "Inside Huskie Football" radio show and serves as master of ceremonies for various NIU Athletics banquets and events. Lindo, 54, returns as the network analyst and statistician for his 27th season in 2012. The Aurora product served 18 seasons as head boys basketball coach at Naperville North High School and in that role was inducted into the Illinois High School Association Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. He spent seven seasons as the color analyst for IHSA Television, and is entering his third year as a member of the men's basketball staff at Aurora University. Kahler is in his seventh season on the Huskie sidelines. The Belvidere native spent eight seasons as the voice of the Augustana Vikings, as well as three years as a sideline reporter for Army. Kahler has also called play-by-play for IHSA championships, including the class AA basketball state finals.
