"Inside Huskie Football" Radio Show
NIU Head Coach Dave Doeren joins host Bill Baker and other special guests on the "Inside Huskie Football" live radio show each Thursday from 7-8 p.m. during the 2011 season. The show takes place at Cabana Charley's in Sycamore. Hear the show on WLBK 1360 AM DeKalb and on the Northern Illinois Sports Network from IMG College affiliate ESPN1380AM in Janesville, Wis.

Dates for the show this season are Sept. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 3, 10 and 22.

ASK COACH DOEREN
As part of the weekly "Inside Huskie Football" Show, NIU fans are invited to e-mail their questions for Head Coach Dave Doeren which will then be asked during the show. Host Bill Baker will take the best questions each week and pose them to Doeren during the show.

"NIU Live" Radio Show
Each week, join NIU Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Jeff Compher, host Andy Garcia and Northern Illinois coaches for "NIU Live" on WSCR 670 AM The Score in Chicago. The 30-minute show features a weekly update with football coach Dave Doeren as well as interviews with other Huskie coaches and all the latest NIU Athletics news. The northern Illinois-ISP sports Network
On radio, fans can listen to every Northern Illinois football and men's basketball game, as well as most women's basketball contests, on the Huskies' flagship station, WLBK AM 1360 in DeKalb, your home for the Huskies for the past 21 years.

In addition, most Northern Illinois football games will be heard, for the sixth consecutive season, across the 38-state coverage area of WSCR-AM 670 "The Score" - Chicago's powerful 50,000-watt top-rated all-sports station. Early in the season, there are occasionally conflicts with the Chicago White Sox broadcasts and NIU games will be hear on an alternate Chicago station. Illinois football broadcasts can also will be heard on WTJK ESPN 1380 AM in Janesville, Wis. which can be heard in Rockford, Ill.

The radio network's pre-game show begins 30 minutes before kickoff each week and features a preview of the upcoming game with NIU Head Coach Dave Doeren, a chat with NIU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeff Compher, and a look at the Mid-American Conference schedule. Following the game, listeners hear directly from Doeren as part of the post-game show.

The veteran broadcasting trio of Bill Baker, Mark Lindo and Casey Kahler return to call all the action for NIU football broadcasts in 2011.

Baker, 63, is in his 32nd year as the play-by-play voice of Northern Illinois football and basketball in 2010 and was inducted into the NIU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. A reporter on the Chicagoland sports scene for the past 36 years, the Chicago native has covered NIU in football, men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball and volleyball. Baker was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for Broadcasting from the Illinois High School Association in 1989. Baker was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in April 2009. He doubles as the manager of advertising placement for the Kane County Cougars, the Midwest League (Class A) affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.

Lindo, 53, returns as the network analyst and statistician. The Aurora product joined the Northern Illinois radio team 26 years ago. A veteran on the local prep scene, he served 18 seasons as head boys basketball coach at Naperville North High School and in that role was inducted into the Illinois High School Association Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. He is also a member of the IHSA Baseball Hall of Fame, Aurora Central Hall of Fame, and Aurora Boys Basketball Hall of Fame. Lindo spent seven seasons as the color analyst for IHSA Television, and in addition to his teaching duties, will spend his second season as a member of the men's basketball staff at Aurora University in 2010-11.

Kahler enters his sixth season on the Huskie sidelines. The Belvidere native spent eight seasons as the voice of the Augustana Vikings, as well as three years as a sideline reporter for Army. While at West Point, Kahler also served as the play-by-play voice for basketball and hockey. He has an extensive broadcasting background that includes 12 seasons calling CBA Basketball, and served as a sideline reporter for the CBA broadcasts on ESPN2. Kahler has held a variety of radio responsibilities, and has called play-by-play for IHSA championships, including the class AA basketball state finals.
