Life After Football
Evans Adonis '08, M.A. '10
Wide Receiver

After completing his football career and earning his bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's in sports management at NIU, Evans Adonis traded in his football uniform for a Huskie polo and spent two years working as a graduate assistant in NIU's athletic marketing office. The skills he learned in the athletic department, coupled with the education he received at Northern Illinois, helped him reach the National Football League. Adonis is a group sales representative for the Dallas Cowboys, where he focuses on booking tours of Cowboy Stadium.

"I have the perfect job for what I studied," Adonis said. "Both degrees have prepared me well for the business aspect of sports, as I learned many different sales and marketing techniques that I use today. My success evolved from having a vision, sticking to that vision, and working toward that vision without barriers."
