A co-captain on the 1971 team, Stephen Goehl graduated from Northern Illinois with a degree in marketing. He is the founder and President of Goehl Financial Services Inc., specializing in insurance and investments. A two-year letterwinner for NIU, Goehl played running back for the Huskies.

"The athletic background I was exposed to at NIU has helped me stay focused and determined to reach my goals and overcome hurdles in my business career," Goehl said.
