  • 8 *--HOUR OF POWER - White Privilege 101- Keynote Speaker: Art Munin from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at HSC - Duke Ellington Ballroom
    Sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs
  • 16--Comm. Service - "THINK PINK" WBB Game vs. Ohio at 2:00 PM - Cancelled Health fair tables and selling bracelets begin at 1:00 PM on Upper concourse track
  • 29--Comm Serv. - Lincoln Elementary Fun Fair (DeKalb) from 4:30 pm- 8:00 pm Play games with kids and Transportation will be provided

MARCH

  • 26 **--HOUR or so OF POWER - From Hits & Beats to the Streets: Talking Masculinity in Hip Hop Keynote Speaker: Byron Hurt - Coaches RSVP to Monique by March 19th
    7:00 PM - 8:30 PM at Holmes Student Center - Carl Sandburg Auditorium

APRIL

  • 2 **--NATIONAL STUDENT-ATHLETE DAY Meet & Greet
    11:00 AM - 2:30 PM - Convocation Center Lobby
    Athletic staff will sponsor and honor all S-A's by providing a buffet lunch
    All student-athletes and athletic and convocation center staff encouraged to attend
  • 11--Community Service - Malta Elementary Fun Fair (Malta) from 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm
    Play games with kids and have fun! Contact Sunny Brewer at 753-8447 or sbrewer1@niu.edu to RSVP by Friday, March 28th.
  • 15--Young Professionals Leadership Workshop
    12 Noon - 1:00 PM Facilitator - Felicia Hall-Allen
    Campus Life Building - Room 100

  • 15 **--HOUR OF POWER - Personal Responsibility
    7:00 PM - 8:00PM in the Holmes Student Center
    Regency Room - Female Student-Athletes featuring Felicia Hall-Allen
    Duke Ellington Ballroom - Male Student-Athletes featuring Chief Don Grady
  • 19--Community Service - NIU Cares Day - A campus wide effort of volunteers assisting in service projects that benefit the community. Register individually or up to 10 people on a team at http://niucaresday.niu.edu by April 1st. All volunteers receive a T-shirt.

    7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at HSC - Duke Ellington Ballroom
    All Graduating Seniors and student-athletes receiving academic recognition are invited for a dinner celebration along with 2 guests of their choice. Guests will have to pay $20.00 for dinner per NCAA rules. Coaches will RSVP

AUGUST

  • 24 **--Student-Athlete & Cheerleading Fall Welcome Convention
    Tentatively 11:30 PM - 4:00 PM HSC - rooms TBD
