Music, Food, Football & Fun!
Everyone's Invited Out to The Yard.

Huskie fans of all ages and affiliations, from students and alumni to donors, families and children, are invited to The Yard, NIU Athletics' Official Pregame Tailgate, prior to every home game this season. Located on the West Lawn outside of Huskie Stadium, The Yard is FREE and open to the public. For Saturday games, The Yard will open four hours prior to kickoff and will close approximately 15 minutes before kickoff.

Inside The Yard, enjoy free live music, purchase food from one of several popular local vendors, or stop by the beer garden for an adult beverage, soda or water. Catch football action from around the country on the giant video screen, while your kids check out the bounce house, climb a rock wall or have their faces painted in the Kids' Zone.

Meet NIU student-athletes from the "team of the week," find old friends in the Varsity Club tent and learn what's new at NIU. Don't be surprised if the NIU cheerleaders, new mascot "Mission," Victor E. Huskie and the Huskie Marching Band come by.

Donors to the Huskie Athletic Fund at the "Pride" Level and above ($1,000) also are invited to the Champion's Club Tent, located in The Yard, to enjoy pregame appetizers, the cash bar or a visit with NIU Athletics administrators and coaches and other special guests.
