For the ninth straight semester, Northern Illinois student-athletes posted a cumulative grade point average above 3.0 as the Fall 2009 GPA came in at 3.054, NIU Senior Associate Athletic Director Francine St. Clair announced Friday.

Northern Illinois Athletics continues to raise the bar when it comes to academic success as data released Wednesday by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) shows that Huskie student-athletes are graduating at greater levels than ever before, and at a rate which ranks above the national average.
