NIU-Western Michigan Game to be Televised on CSN Plus

DEKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois' men's basketball road game at Western Michigan on Wednesday, Feb. 17, will be carried live on Comcast SportsNet Chicago on the network's "Plus" channel and will available across most of the CSN Chicago coverage area. Tipoff for the Mid-American Conference West Division game is at 6 p.m. (Central) from University Arena in Kalamazoo. In the DeKalb, Rockford and Chicago markets, the game will air on Comcast Cable Channel 101. Satellite carriers (DISH Network, DIRECTV) which normally carry the CSN Plus channel, will also air the game. Comcast customers outside of DeKalb, Rockford and Chicago should check their local listings or go to www.csnchicago.com to see what specific channel will carry the game in your area. The NIU-WMU contest is the MAC Game of the Week and also will air on FOX Sports Ohio, FOX Sports Detroit, Time-Warner SportsNet-Buffalo and the ESPN Full Court package. The game can be watched online at ESPN360.com or at www.mac-sports.com as part of the All-MACcess live streaming package. Michael Reghi will call the game with MAC Hall of Famer and former Toledo and Philadelphia 76ers standout Steve Mix providing color analysis. The Huskies (8-16, 4-8 MAC) posted an 87-77 win over the Broncos (13-12, 5-7 MAC) at the Convocation Center on Jan. 13. Sophomore guard Mike DiNunno posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 assists, leading a foursome in double figures, as NIU overcame a 14-point first-half deficit, to win its fourth-straight game. The match-up will feature the league's top two scorers in junior guard Xavier Silas, and WMU's David Kool. Kool leads the MAC with a 21.0 point per game scoring average, while Silas ranks second, averaging 19.5 points per contest. Following the game at Western Michigan, Northern Illinois steps out of conference for the ESPNU BracketBusters game at Eastern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 20.
