DeKALB, Ill. - A year ago, Northern Illinois fans followed the Huskies from Chicago's Soldier Field to New York City and the Hudson River Valley at Army, and all the way to Miami for the Discover Orange Bowl. This year, Northern Illinois and its travel partner, Premiere Global Sports, invites NIU fans to experience a weekend in Boston, Mass., and watch the Huskies battle the Massachusetts Minutemen at Gillette Stadium in nearby Foxborough on Saturday, Nov. 2.
NIU fans will enjoy deluxe hotel accommodations at the Marriott Copley Place in the heart of Boston, gather for a Friday evening social hour, and be provided with transportation to and from Gillette Stadium on game day. In Foxborough, visit with Northern Illinois fans and alumni from throughout the Northeast and get ready to cheer on the Huskies at the official NIU pre-game tailgate party.
The Boston weekend getaway offers travel packages for either two or three night stays at the Marriott Copley Place with air and land or land only options. Every package includes the Friday evening welcome gathering, game day transportation and tickets to the NIU pre-game party. Package prices start at $739 per person.

The Huskies will be led by dual-threat quarterback Jordan Lynch, a 2012 second-team All-American who accounted for nearly 5,000 yards of total offense while setting NCAA records for rushing by a quarterback with 12 100-yard rushing games. Leading tackler Jimmie Ward and the Huskies' entire offensive line are among the 55 returning letterwinners for 2013.
NIU opens 2013 spring practices March 20 with the spring game (free admission) slated for April 13 at 2:30 p.m. at Huskie Stadium.
