Northern Illinois Football International Bowl Update

News and Notes from Northern Illinois Athletics as the Huskie football team prepare for the International Bowl on Jan. 2 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.

INSIDE HUSKIE SPORTS
Join Northern Illinois head football coach Jerry Kill and host Brad Hoey for the bowl preview edition of "Inside Huskie Sports." The show will be taped Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Fatty's Pub and Grille on Lincoln Highway in DeKalb and the public is invited. Kill will discuss the Huskies' preparations for the International Bowl game against the South Florida Bulls, which will be played Saturday, Jan. 2 at 11 a.m. (Central) in the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. NIU players Jake Coffman and Eddie Adamski will also be on hand at the final "IHS" show of 2009.

BOWL TICKETS
The Northern Illinois Athletics Ticket Office has announced its holiday hours and schedule, including plans for the distribution of all bowl game tickets ordered through NIU. No International Bowl tickets will be mailed. Instead, tickets will be available for sale and for pick-up through the NIU Athletics Ticket Office in the Convocation Center beginning Wednesday, December 16. Ticket office hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The office will open through Wednesday, December 23. Tickets not picked up by that date, or ordered after that time online through NIUHuskies.com, will be available for pick up in Toronto at the Sheraton Centre (123 Queen Street West) beginning on December 30. NIU Will call in Toronto will be open from 12 - 5 p.m. (EST) on December 30, 31 and January 1. All game-day pick-up will be at the Rogers Centre (Gate 6A) will call window beginning at 10:30 a.m. EST.

NIU TRAVEL PACKAGES
Northern Illinois reminds fans that travel packages for students and non-students are available through the Huskie Athletic department. Buses will leave from DeKalb and from Oakbrook on January 1 (student buses) or December 31 (fan buses) and include two nights' lodging at the team hotel in Toronto. Alternate packages which do not include transportation are also available.
