NIU Fall Baseball Podcast

The first ever fall update from Head Coach Ed Mathey on the NIU Baseball Podcast.

MICHIGAN CITY HIGH SCHOOL:
Three-time all-area selection ... All-conference in 2012 ... Four-time baseball letter winner ... Started every game game between his freshman and senior seasons ... Batted .425 including .455 with runners in scoring position, .700 slugging and had an on-base percentage of .505 during his junior year.

COACH MATHEY ON RAY:
"He's been to a few of our camps, he's a very high-energy individual and has a college body already. He's very strong and has the ability to play multiple positions. Runs hard, plays hard and has a contagious attitude that fits him very well with his current group of players and I'm looking forward to seeing his progress as he continues to gain experience and mature. If he's not out there playing at a regular basis he's going to be pushing people that are so that's a good thing."
