The Huskies return seven starters and two starting pitchers in 2012, along with four All-MAC picks, two all-region and a freshman All-American. To boast, NIU also has a pitcher on the preseason stopper of the year watchlist. 2011: Started 11 games and was a reliever in three other contests ... Held a 5-5 record while posting a 3.79 earned run average, along with 51 strikeouts and 39 walks in 73.2 innings pitched ... Recorded his first win of the season against Saint Louis in his first start of the season (March 16), striking out four batters, allowing two runs, off seven hits in 5.2 innings of work ... Threw 5.1 innings against Bowling Green, recording a season-high nine strikeouts and allowing two runs, six hits and four walks (March 26) ... Went a season-long 8.1 innings at Eastern Michigan, allowing only four hits and fanning four batters in the 1-0 loss (May 7) ... Earned the victory over Bowling Green in the Huskies first win in the Mid-American Conference Tournament, the Huskies first since win since 2008 (May 26); pitched 7.1 innings, three strikeouts, four hits, two runs and one walk against the Falcons ...
