Stepped into starting role last four games after injury sidelined first baseman Jeff Zimmerman ... Was 6-for-17 (.353) with a homerun, an RBI and two runs in those final four contests (May 15-19) ... Saw first action as a pinch hitter at Tennessee, recording a single (Feb. 18) ... Made first starts of the year at Texas Tech and versus No. 18 St. John's after illness struck half the lineup (Feb. 25) ...
