Racked up three MAC Pitcher of the Week honors ... Earned recognition as a semi-finalist for the Gregg Olson Award, given to the nation's "Breakout Player of the Year" ... Secured his first win in the second game of a doubleheader at Nevada (February 23) ... Began his dominating run through the MAC with a six-hit, eight strikeout shutout of Kent State (March 23) ... Earned MAC Pitcher of the Week honors for that start ... Pitched the second of four straight complete games at Akron, beating the Zips 2-1 (March 30) ... Again earned MAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the start ... Limited Central Michigan to a pair of runs in a nine-inning clinic in Mount Pleasant (April 6) ... Sent a dozen Western Michigan Broncos down on strikes in his fourth complete-game victory, earning his third MAC Pitcher of the Week award along the way (March 13) ... Struck out seven Ohio Bobcats in Athens to help NIU win in an 11-2 romp (April 20) ... Scattered 12 hits and three runs over his fifth complete game in a win vs. Miami (April 27) ... Threw eight scoreless innings at Toledo to beat the Rockets for his eighth win (May 3) ... Notched his ninth and final win vs. Eastern Michigan, registering seven strikeouts and a lone earned run in a 2-1 Huskies victory (May 10) ... Dropped his only complete-game decision at Ball State, losing 3-2 to the Cardinals in Muncie (May 16) ... Hurled his last eight innings of the season vs. Bowling Green, surrendering four runs in a no-decision (May 22) ... Led NIU with a 2.18 ERA, 9 wins, and 76 strikeouts ... Led the conference with 115.1 innings pitched.


2012:
Made 13 relief appearances and five starts from the mound (18 total) ... Owned a 2-2 mark on the bump ... Pitched 50.1 innings, fifth-most on the squad, and finished third on the team in strikeouts, 47 ... Caught 17-of-47 (.362) batters looking at called strike three ... Walked 11 batters and boasted an opponents batting average of .299 and a WHIP of 1.47 ... Made first career start at Saint Louis, battling 4.1 innings, striking out three and walking one in 4-1 loss (March 14) ... Earned first win of his career in the Huskies home-opener versus Illinois-Chicago , tossing five innings, four strikeouts, two walks and surrendered three runs (March 20) ... Hurled a season-high seven innings and a then-season high seven strikeouts at Bradley with one walk, no decision (April 25) ... Set new career-high in strikeouts at UIC, fanning eight in five innings of work (May 2) ... Pitched 6.1 innings of relief duty (86 pitches) at Western Michigan, fanning five batters, walking zero and surrendering three runs (May 11) ... Won final decision of the year in two relief innings at UW-Milwaukee, striking out two and allowing no walks (May 15) ... Carried a perfect fielding percentage from the mound (five assists).

2011: Made five appearances on the mound in freshman campaign ... Totaled 5.2 innings of work, six strikeouts and four walks ... Did not record a decision ... Pitched two innings versus Illinois-Chicago, his longest outing of the year, and recorded two strikeouts (May 4) ... In collegiate debut against Saint Louis, hurled two strikeouts, while surrendering only one hit in ninth inning appearance (March 20).

High School: Varsity letterman... Posted a 3-1 record with a 1.65 ERA during his junior season... Saved the 4A State Championship Game for New Trier... Named by Prep Baseball Report as the top performer at the PBR Top Prospect Showcase in June 2009... Helped New Trier to a 23-12 record and regional championship as a senior... Posted a 3-1 record with a 1.65 ERA, 30 strikeouts and three saves in 29.2 innings over seven games during his junior season... Saved the 4A State Championship Game for New Trier, who posted a 32-7, 12-2 record in the Central Suburban Conference.
