The Huskies return seven starters and two starting pitchers in 2012, along with four All-MAC picks, two all-region and a freshman All-American. To boast, NIU also has a pitcher on the preseason stopper of the year watchlist.
2011: Second Team All-Mid American Conference performer ... Started 10 games and made 21 total appearances on the mound ... Recorded a 9-1 record on the mound, the second-most in the MAC ... Tied the Northern Illinois record for most wins in a season ... Won eight of his contests as a starter and one in relief ... Five wins in MAC play ... Accounted for a 4.73 ERA, 42 strikeouts and 41 walks in 72.1 innings of work ... Registered a 1.73 WHIP mark ... Team outscored its opponents 148-136 with Manville on the mound ... Lost first decision of the season against UC Riverside (March 5) but went on to record nine straight wins ... Hurled eight strikeouts at Southern Illinois in six innings to record his first win of the season (March 19) ... Closed the regular season with three-consecutive winning decisions at Eastern Michigan (May 8), Ball State (May 15) and at Western Michigan (May 21) ... Went 8.1 innings in his victory at EMU, posting four strikeouts and allowing only three hits (May 8) ... Pitched seven innings in relief at Ohio to capture his fifth win (April 17) ... Five days earlier, won his fourth decision in 5.2 innings at Illinois State and accounted for five strikeouts (April 12).
2010: Redshirted after transferring to NIU from Iowa.
2009: Pitched in eight games as a reliever for the Hawkeyes ... Posted a 6.35 ERA and earned no decisions in 11.1 innings, allowing eight earned runs on 19 hits and seven walks with four strikeouts.
2008: Saw action in 16 games, seven starts for Iowa ... Finished with a 1-1 record ... pitched 38.0 innings ... Got his first collegiate start against Western Illinois (3/25) ... Pitched four innings in a start at Michigan (3/30) and allowed no earned runs ... Finished with a 6.63 ERA.
High School: Two-time first team all-conference honoree for Mount Carmel H.S. ... Four-year team captain and MVP... Four-year all-area choice as a junior and senior ... Finished with a 27-8 career record with eight saves ... Had a 7-3 record with a 1.94 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched his senior campaign Hit over .400 every year, including .402 as a senior and .401 his junior season ... Won 40 total games on the mound in his four-year career ... Was part of the Mount Carmel conference champion teams in 2005 and 2007 ... Earned two varsity letters in golf.
