Dirk Ormsby struckout a career-high seven batters Saturday but the Huskies fell to the Golden Flashes, 7-4.

2015 SEASON (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in 28 games, starting 14
Finished the season with a .170 batting average and a .343 on base percentage off of 153 at-bats and nine hits
Helped bring in six RBI and scored seven runs

2014 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):
• Started six games as a designated hitter with 16 appearances
• Drew five walks with two hits to amass a .241 on-base percentage
• Recorded first collegiate RBI versus Toledo (April 5)
• Made collegiate debut at No. 5 Oregon State, recording two at bats (March 8)
• Registered first NIU hit, a pinch-hit single, versus Illinois State (April 8)
• Went 1-for-2 at UIC with a run and stolen base against the Flames (April 29)
• Scored first career run at Eastern Michigan, helping NIU to a 10-2 win (April 11)

2013 SEASON (FRESHMAN):

• Redshirted after having season-ending arm surgery

NORMAL WEST HIGH SCHOOL:
• Lettered in soccer, basketball and Baseball at Normal West High School
• All-Academic Big 12 Conference all three years in fall, winter and spring
• 2011 baseball team finished 31-8 en route to a second place sectional finish and conference championship
• Team also won a conference championship and was the regional runner-up sophomore year
• First team all-conference selection sophomore and junior year
• Hit 20 doubles junior season to set school-record
• Also batted .419, with 34 RBI, and 21 walks junior year
• First team all-conference in 2010 and 2011
