Northern Illinois will face a challenging 2009 schedule that begins with consecutive weekend tournaments at two of college baseball's top venues in Mississippi State and Arizona State. Overall, the Huskies are slated to face four 2008 NCAA qualifiers and 14 total teams who made postseason appearances a year ago.

The Northern Illinois baseball team will host its sixth annual golf outing on Friday, September 19 at the Oak Club Golf Course in Genoa. Shotgun tee times begin at 1 p.m. and the following day there will be tailgating at McKinzie Field prior to the NIU-Indiana State football game at 2 p.m.

Northern Illinois baseball will hold its annual "Top Dawg" Prospect Camp on Saturday, October 4 at Ralph McKinzie Field. Individuals in grades 9-12 are eligible to enroll.
