The Northern Illinois University Intercollegiate Baseball Team will conduct its annual open tryout on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Ralph McKinzie Field. This will be the only tryout opportunity of the year. The rain date will be on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 2 p.m. - 5:30 pm.

Beginning August 25, all prospective attendees are required to pick up pre-registration materials from the baseball office at the Convocation Center #224. All forms, including an athletic physical (current within the 90 days of tryout), waiver, and Tryout Clearance Form must be completed in order to be eligible to tryout. All completed registration forms must be turned in to the baseball office by 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 4 in order to be able to participate in the tryout.

TRYOUTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IF THE ABOVE PROCEDURES AND TIMELINES ARE NOT ADHERED TO!

Players must supply their own equipment and dress accordingly. NIU will supply helmets, catchers gear, bats and baseballs.
