2006-07 Highlights: Appeared in 20 games, including 10 starts, and averaged 9.8 points-per-game in his rookie campaign...was second on the squad in field goal percentage (51.8%), three-point field goal percentage (40.9%) and free throw percentage (83.3%)...named to MidamPub.com All-Freshman Second Team...posted a game-high 20 points against Western Michigan (Mar. 7) in the MAC Tournament...scored 14 points, including a pair of treys, in NIU's 76-69 win over Eastern Michigan on Mar. 4...collected 14 points against Central Michigan on Feb. 25...posted 19 points against Toledo on Feb. 22...was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the period ending February 11th...collected a career-high 20 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line in the final minute, in NIU's 81-74 win against Ohio on Feb. 10...had nine points and three rebounds in 15 minutes of action against Bowling Green on Feb. 7...missed 10 games after undergoing arthroscopic left knee surgery on Dec. 28...had 11 points and five rebounds against Georgia Southern on Dec. 8...posted 11 points on 5-for-6 shooting against UIC on Dec. 5...scored 11 points and dished out four assists against Winthrop on Dec. 2...tallied 13 points, six assists and four rebounds in NIU's 87-82 overtime win over Duquesne on Nov. 20. Prep / Personal: Four-year starter for Richards High School...broke the Bulldogs' school-record for career-points with 1,748...was a three-year co-captain for the Bulldogs...named the 2006 Star Newspaper and The Reporter Player of the Year...averaged 8.6 points-per-game as a freshman, 19.3 points and five rebounds as a sophomore, 19.7 points and 4.7 boards as a junior, and 18.6 points and 5.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists per game, 2.7 steals as a senior...born Jan. 17, 1988...son of Louis and Vanessa Yelder...major is undecided.
