DEKALB, Ill. -
The Northern Illinois Athletics Department is proud to announce the "Cram the Convo" event, presented by TCF Bank, on Saturday, Jan. 30, for the men's-women's basketball doubleheader at the Convocation Center. Both squads will be colliding with Mid-American Conference East Division foes, with the men hosting Buffalo at 1 p.m., and the women facing Kent State beginning at 3:30 p.m.
The doubleheader will represent the NCAA "Pack the House" event for women's basketball, and the Coaches vs. Cancer event for men's hoops. Several ticket specials and promotional events will be on tap. Upper bowl tickets will be available for just $2 for the general public, while groups of 25 or more people will be admitted for only $1.
It will also be Faculty/Staff day - any member of the university's faculty or staff that presents his or her ID, or the letter they receive from Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Jeff Compher, will receive four free upper bowl tickets.
Other specials include $2 lower bowl tickets for Huskie Athletic Scholarship Fund (HASF) donors and football season ticket holders, via a coupon that those members will also receive via e-mail.
