DEKALB, Ill. - Come out and watch your former Huskie hardwood heroes take the court again at the 2009 NIU men's and women's basketball alumni days.

All former Northern Illinois basketball players, coaches and managers of both the Huskie men's and women's basketball teams are invited back to attend NIU's annual Alumni Days.

The Northern Illinois women's basketball alumnae will gather on Saturday, January 17 while the men's basketball alumni day is slated for Saturday, January 24. The days begin with the alumni games. Doors to the Convocation Center will open at 9 a.m. for both Alumni Games with each contest scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

Following the game, alums and their families will join NIU athletics administrators and members of the current NIU coaching staffs for lunch before catching current Huskie teams in action. The NIU women will play host to Eastern Michigan on Jan 17, while the men will take on Central Michigan. Both Mid-American Conference games will tip-off at 2 p.m. All basketball alumni in attendance will be recognized at halftime of each game.
