DID YOU KNOW?
• The Huskies and Eagles have met three times in each of the past two seasons, as the two teams have met twice in the regular season and in the opening round of the MAC Tournament. Eastern Michigan has won five of those six meetings, with NIU’s lone win coming in the 2012 MAC Tournament First Round.
Jordan Threloff is averaging 11.5 points per game over the last eight games, shooting 58.5 percent from the field.
Aksel Bolin ranks third in the MAC in three-point percentage during league play, connecting on 43.8 percent (14-of-32) of his triple tries. Bolin is averaging 8.6 points per game in conference play.
Travon Baker has scored in double figures in 12 of the last 16 games; he is averaging 10.8 points per game in conference play. Baker is also averaging 2.3 steals per contest in league play, tied for second in the MAC.
Aaric Armstead is averaging 8.4 points per game in 13 games since replacing an injured Dontel Highsmith in the starting lineup. In league play, Armstead is fifth among freshmen in scoring (8.2 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (3.8 rpg). Armstead is the only player that ranks in the top-five in both categories.
• NIU is ranked 43rd nationally in scoring defense (64.2 ppg) and 60th in rebounding margin (+4.0).
Pete Rakocevic is shooting 70 percent (14-of-20) from the field over the past seven games.
• NIU’s 11 wins this season is more than double its total from the two previous years combined (11). The 11 wins are the most for a Huskie team since going 17-11 during the 2005-06 season.
• NIU has had 62 double figure scoring games this season, NIU had just 46 such performances last year.
Aksel Bolin has appeared 106 games during his NIU career, but saw his streak of 86 consecutive games snapped at Ball State due to illness. The NIU record for career games played in 117, by Anthony Maestranzi and Todd Peterson (2002-06).
• The Huskies have won five road games this season, the most for the program since winning six in 2005-06.
• The Huskies have lost 49 man games due to injury this season, not including redshirts, and are currently dressing just eight scholarship players.

ABOUT EASTERN MICHIGAN
• The Eagles come to DeKalb with a 15-10 overall record, 7-5 in Mid-American Conference play. Eastern Michigan has won three-straight games, including a 65-44 win over Toledo last time out.
• Karrington Ward leads Eastern Michigan in both scoring (12.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg). Three other Eagles are scoring in double figures, Raven Lee (10.8), Glenn Bryant (10.2) and Mike Talley (10.0).
• Eastern Michigan is the best defensive team in the MAC, allowing just 62.0 points per game. The Eagles are allowing opponents to shoot just 36.8 percent from the field, lowest in the conference.

THE LAST MEETING
• Eastern Michigan defeated NIU, 45-44, in the First Round of the 2013 Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Eagles went on to reach the quarterfinals where they lost to Western Michigan.
• NIU trailed by 11 with eight minutes to play. The Huskies rallied to within one and had a chance to win the game with a corner three-pointer at the buzzer.
Aksel Bolin and J.J. Cravatta each scored nine points to lead NIU. Da’Shonte Riley had a double-double for Eastern Michigan with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES
• NIU leads the all-time series, 50-34. The Huskies hold a 29-11 edge all-time in meetings played in DeKalb.
• The Huskies and Eagles have met three times in each of the past two seasons, as the two teams have met twice in the regular season and in the opening round of the MAC Tournament. Eastern Michigan has won five of those six meetings, with NIU’s lone win coming in the 2012 MAC Tournament First Round.
• Eastern Michigan has won each of its last two trips to NIU. The last home win for the Huskies over the Eagles came on March 2, 2011 (66-49).

LAST TIME OUT
• NIU fell at MAC East leading Akron, 62-54, last Saturday. Three Huskies scored in double figures against the Zips with Jordan Threloff netting 14 points, Aaric Armstead added 13 and Travon Baker chipping in 10 points.
Darrell Bowie grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds and recorded a career-high four steals.
• Akron shot 52.9 percent from the field in the first half and held NIU to just 30.8 percent shooting in the second half.
• Akron’s Demetrius Treadwell scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
