DeKalb, IL - The Northern Illinois University men's basketball squad seeks its first-ever outright Mid-American Conference West Division championship on Saturday afternoon, as the Huskies travel to Kalamazoo, MI to battle Western Michigan. Tip-off is set for 1:37 p.m. (CST) at WMU's University Arena.

NIU (16-10, 11-6 MAC), which clinched a tie for the MAC West championship on Wednesday (Mar. 1) night, can win the outright title with a victory over the Broncos on Saturday. Should the Broncos (13-15, 10-7 MAC) emerge victorious, WMU would own the tiebreaker over the Huskies by virtue of their 59-50 victory over Miami on January 21 and receive the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament.

For more information regarding Saturday's contest, check out the early edition of game notes.
