Coaches: Rob Judson (Illinois '80) is 67-77 in his fifth season at Northern Illinois and owns a career-record of 4-6 against the Rockets. Toledo skipper Stan Joplin is 171-122 in his 10th season of coaching and owns a career-record of 12-5 against the Huskies.

Last Time Out:

Northern Illinois senior forward Todd Peterson tallied a team-season best 24 points, including a career-high 15 rebounds for his first career double-double to push the Huskies past Western Michigan, 74-59, for the undisputed MAC West Division championship on Saturday (March 4).

Scouting Toledo:

Toledo junior guard Justin Ingram scored a game-high 23 points to lift the Rockets to the 77-52 victory over Bowling Green in the opening round of the MAC Tournament on Monday (March 6). Ingram leads Toledo in scoring with 14.2 points-per-game, while teammates Florentino Valencia and Keonta Howell are each pouring in 11.6 points-per-game.

All-Time Series:

Toledo leads the all-time series, 34-16. In their last meeting, UT's trio of Kashif Payne, Justin Ingram and Keonta Howell combined for eight three-pointers in the second-half to help the visiting Rockets rally from a 15-point deficit in the final stanza and earn the 67-66 come-from-behind MAC win over NIU. NIU juniors James Hughes and Mike McKinney led the Huskies with 15 points apiece.

Huskies / Rockets Tournament History:

NIU is winless in three tries against Toledo in the MAC Tournament. Toledo picked up the 68-64 double-overtime win against NIU at Savage Hall on March 1, 2000 in their last tourney meeting.
