MEN'S BASKETBALL HOLDS BANQUET MARCH 24 AT CONVOCATION CENTER
DeKALB, IL - After finishing up the season last week in Cleveland, OH,
in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference, the Northern Illinois
University men's basketball will take a few hours to look back on the
successful 2002-03 campaign. Sponsored by the DeKalb, Sycamore and Kishwaukee
Kiwanis Clubs, NIU will hold its annual men's basketball banquet on March
24 at the Convocation Center.
Doors will open at
6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $6 for children (12 and
under) and $9 for adults and can be purchased at the NIU ticket office

The evening will include
a postseason wrap-up from coach Judson as well as highlight tape. Kids
will receive Northern Illinois men's basketball trading cards and have
the chance to play on the court with the Huskies.

the semifinals of the MAC Tournament. The Huskies won their first postseason
games since 1995-96 when they were a member of the Mid-Western Collegiate
Conference and advanced the semis of the Mid-Am tournament for the first
time since 1981-82.

Smallwood (Elgin) was named First-Team All-MAC while guard P.J.
Smith (Maywood / Proviso East) picked up Honorable Mention All-MAC
accolades. Rookie guard Todd Peterson (Pekin) was chosen for the MAC All-Freshman
