Northern Illinois senior guard Ryan Paradise will update his blog throughout the season and keep Huskie fans posted about the NIU men's basketball team.
It's been a while since I've posted an entry, but I've been trying to take care of something else lately. In the first half of the Stephen F. Austin game, I was driving to the basket, and spun into a defender and got hit in the nose. I did break it, and left the game immediately. While in the training room, it took awhile for the bleeding to stop and to get it plugged up.
I went to the doctor early in the week, found out it was broken, and had to have surgery on 30th to fix it. As of now, I have to wear a small splint on my nose for about ten days, but it's not too bad. I'm not sure how long I'll be out of action. The doctor says it usually takes about six weeks for the bone to heal, but that I won't necessarily have to sit out that long. I'm just going see how it goes with the healing process and go from there.
I'll try and update the blog with any news or progress, but for now, I'm just gonna have to cheer on my teammates to keep winning.
Until next time,
Ryan Paradise #10
