DeKalb, Ill. - Fans are invited to join NIU football coach Jerry Kill, Huskie men's basketball coach Ricardo Patton and host Brad Hoey for "Inside Huskie Sports: Bowl Edition," the weekly 30-minute television show highlighting Northern Illinois athletics.
This week's special edition show, which will be taped at Fatty's Pub & Grill, 1312 West Lincoln Highway, at 1:30 p.m. (Central), will provide an in-depth preview of the 33rd Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La. The game will feature the Huskies (6-6, 5-3 Mid-American Conference), playing in their third bowl game in five years, and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (7-5, 5-3 Western Athletic Conference), December 28 at 7 p.m. on ESPN. "IHS" will also provide an update on the NIU men's basketball season with coach Patton. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions to both coach Kill and Patton which will be featured on the air.
The first opportunity to catch "Inside Huskie Sports: Bowl Edition" will be on Wednesday, December 24 at 4 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
On Saturday, December 27, "IHS" will air on Rockford's My Network TV (Digital Channel 17.2 and Comcast Channel 16) at 11 a.m. and WQRF-TV Rockford (FOX 39) at 4 p.m.
The final airing of "IHS" will be on WTVO-TV Rockford (ABC) on Sunday, December 28 at 2 p.m.
In addition, fans can watch "Inside Huskie Sports: Bowl Edition" for free anytime through Huskie All-Access on www.niuhuskies.com. The show will be archived and posted on the website by December 24.
