High School: Three-year year varsity letterwinner played wide receiver, defensive back and returned kickoffs and punts for Curie High School. The Chicago Sun-Times named him to its all-city team as a junior and senior and he was a three-time all-conference selection. Twice named his team's Offensive Player of the Year and was the overall team MVP as a senior. Served as a team captain his final season. Recorded 43 catches and 695 yards in eight games as a senior to average 16.2 yards per catch. Caught seven touchdown passes his senior season and scored eight receiving TDs as a junior. Made 59 receptions for 907 yards, an average of 15.4 yards per catch, in his junior season. Also scored two punt return and two kickoff return touchdowns during his prep career. Added an interception return score in 2008. Helped the Condors to a 6-5 record his senior season. |
