The final chapter of the 2014 Huskies by Position previews on the NIU Quarterback position. Sophomores Drew Hare (O'Fallon, Mo./Fort Zumwalt West) and Anthony Maddie (Plainfield, Ill./Aurora Christian) and junior Matt McIntosh (Evansville, Ind./Reitz) are in the race for the starting position.

2014 • Appeared in nine games as a dual-threat quarterback. • Spent most of the season as Drew’s Hare back-up quarterback and saw time on some early series as well. • Passed for 227 yards with a 60.6 completion percentage (20-for-33). • Rushed for 201 yards on 44 attempts. • Scored his only touchdown of the season rushing vs. Miami (10-18). • Helped the Huskies beat Kent State (10-4), passing for 105 yards, including a career-long 49-yard completion to Juwan Brescacin. • Named to the Academic All-MAC team.
2013 • Did not play due to NCAA transfer rules. • Named Offensive Scout Player of the Week for the Akron (10-12) game and the Ball State (11-13) game.
Prior to NIU • Redshirted as a true freshman at Western Michigan.
High School • Earned all-state honors following the 2011 season. • Passed for 3,799 yards and 52 touchdowns in 2011, while rushing for 1,117 yards and 18 scores on the ground. • Earned conference and state title game MVP honors. • Responsible for 33 touchdowns as a junior. • Guided team to state title in 2009.
