2013: Consensus first team All-MAC selection. Fourth on the NIU defense in tackles and tops on the defensive line with an amazing 70 stops from the noseguard position. Also had seven tackles for loss on the year to tie for fourth on the team. Intercepted two passes and broke up one, recorded 1.5 quarterback sacks and a fumble recovery. Sat out the Western Michigan game. Made a career-high 11 tackles at Toledo (11-20) to dominate the line of scrimmage. Recorded four tackles with a TFL and a pass break-up versus Ball State (11-13). At UMass (11-2), tallied a career-high nine tackles and stepped in front of a screen pass for his first interception, which he returned 14 yards to the UMass six. Earned MAC West Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in 2013 with that effort. Tallied six tackles versus Bowling Green (12-6) in the MAC Championship game. Recorded his second career interception versus Utah State (12-26) in the Poinsettia Bowl and also had five tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and half a sack. Named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week after leading the NIU defense with eight tackles and a fumble recovery at Idaho (9-14). Led the Huskie defense with six tackles, including one for a loss, versus Akron (10-12). Recorded four tackles with a tackle for loss at Kent State (10-5). Made six tackles in the season-opening win at Iowa (8-31). Tallied three tackles, all solo, including a sack and tackle for loss in the victory over Eastern Illinois (9-21). Had at least two tackles in every game he played in 2013. Made four tackles in the NIU win over Central Michigan (10-19).
2012: Ranked eighth on the team in tackles with 55 and sixth in sacks with two. His 9.5 tackles for loss were fifth-most on the team. Started at both fullback and defensive tackle in the MAC Championship. Posted a season-high eight stops, including three tackles for loss and a sack, against Kent State (11-30) in the MAC Championship. His three TFLs and sack came in the second quarter when the Huskie defense held the Golden Flashes to only three yards of total offense. Tallied six tackles against Kansas (9-22) and at Ball State (10-6). Recorded a team-high five tackles, including two tackles for loss, at Eastern Michigan (11-23). Made five stops, including one for a loss, at Western Michigan (10-27). Notched five tackles, one for a loss, and recovered a fumble against UMass (11-3) to earn MAC West Defensive Player of the Week honors. Recorded three tackles, including a half sack and half tackle for loss, in his Huskie debut against Iowa (9-1). Accounted for four tackles against Tennessee-Martin (9-8). Made four tackles, including a half tackle for loss, versus Central Michigan (9-29). Posted a two-tackle, one-sack performance against Buffalo (10-13). Made two tackles at Akron (10-20). Collected a half sack against Toledo (11-14).
Junior College: Enrolled at NIU in January 2012 after spending the last two seasons at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Named first-team all-Midwest Football Conference in 2011 after compiling 67 tackles - second-most on the team - and added two sacks and a pass breakup in nine games for the Panthers. Totaled 64 tackles in his freshman season at ECC to rank third on the team. Was a teammate of current Huskie defensive back Jhony Faustin in 2010 at Ellsworth.
High School: Earned second team all-state honors following his senior season at Piper High School. Earned invitations to the North-South All-Star Game and the Dade-Broward All-Star Game in 2009.
