2010: Redshirted his first season at NIU. Honored as NIU's defensive work team Player of the Year at the team's annual award banquet. Selected as one of the Huskies' work team players of the week for the Minnesota (9-25) and Central Michigan (10-23) games. High School: First team All-State honoree by the Chicago Tribune as a senior. Named to the Illinois all-state squad by EdgyTim and MaxPreps. Selected as the Aurora Beacon News Defensive Player of the Year. Earned all-area recognition from the Chicago Sun-Times, Daily Herald, Kane County Chronicle and Aurora Beacon News following his junior and senior years. Voted Western Sun Conference co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Geneva's top defensive tackle in each of the last three seasons. Three-year starter at defensive tackle also saw action at fullback for the Vikings. Ranked fourth on the team with 73 tackles, 20 solo, in 10 games as a senior. Added five quarterback sacks and two fumble recoveries. In 11 games as a junior, compiled 61 tackles with two fumble recoveries and two sacks. Totaled 58 tackles, recovered three fumbles and collected six quarterback sacks his sophomore year. Career totals include 192 tackles, seven fumbles recovered and 14 sacks in 33 games. Geneva won the conference title in each of his last three years, two with an undefeated 9-0 record, and his Viking teams went 33-4 overall. Made a season-high 10 stops versus Wheaton Warrenville South in the 7A state quarterfinal game. 2008 squad advanced to the state title game. As a sophomore, GHS went to the quarterfinals. Also competed in wrestling where he qualified for state as a sophomore, Took sixth in the state meet in the shot put as a sophomore and junior. Personal: Born May 27, 1992 in Winfield, Ill.
