2012: Redshirted. Named Special Teams Scout Player of the Week following the Eastern Michigan (11-23) game.

High School: Earned all-state honorable mention honors from the Champaign News-Gazette as a senior at Richwoods High School. Garnered first team all-conference and first team all-area recognition with the Knights in 2011. Recorded 22 receptions for 680 yards and nine touchdowns in 2011. Intercepted two passes on defense as a senior. Started all 14 games for RHS en route to a state runner-up finish in Class 6A. Helped the Knights win Mid-State 6 Conference championships in 2010 and 2011. Also a state-qualifier sprinter at Richwoods, where he holds varsity records in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and 400 meters.
