2011: Redshirted as a freshman.

High School: A first team All-State selection following his senior campaign. Finished his high school career with 124 tackles at the defensive end position, including 39 total and 24 solo as a senior. Earned first team all-conference and first team all-area honors following his senior season. Also a second team all-area choice by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel in 2010. Ranked as No. 5 defensive end and No. 19 overall prospect in the state by the Wisconsin Sports Network. A first team all-area choice by Lake Country Publications as a junior. Also named second-team all-Waukesha County and first team all-conference by the Waukesha Freeman in 2009. Made 50 tackles, 31 solo, his junior season. Tallied 35 stops as a sophomore. His team posted a 7-3 record in his last two years. Hamilton went 9-4 and advanced to sectional finals his sophomore year. Served as team captain as a senior. Participated in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Game his senior year. Three-year letterwinner in football. Took fourth place in the 110-Meter hurdles at the state track meet as a junior and qualified for state in the shot put.
