2008: Saw action on special teams in 10 games as a member of the kickoff and punt coverage groups. Played in nine consecutive contests, from the Western Michigan game (9-6) to the Central Michigan contest (11-12). Appeared in the Independence Bowl against Louisiana Tech (12-18). 2007: Appeared in four games on special teams on the punt coverage and kickoff return units. Made one tackle at Toledo (10-27). Also saw time against Wisconsin (10-20), Kent State (11-10) and Navy (11-17). 2006: Redshirted. High School: Earned first team All-Mid-Suburban League, first team All-Suburban and honorable mention All-Region notice as a senior. Captained his prep team while playing linebacker and fullback during his senior season. Selected to National All-Star Bowl following his prep career. First team all-conference selection, honorable mention All-Suburban and team co-captain on 11-1 state quarterfinalist squad as a junior. Honor Roll member throughout high school.
