On August 16, the NIU Football team got its first look at their new home uniforms.

• Third team all-MAC honoree.
• Ranked sixth on the team in tackles with 55, including 31 solo stops.
• Second on the team with three interceptions.
• Picked off a pair of passes at Purdue (9-28), returning one for 50 yards, for his first-career two-interception game.
• Earned NIU Defensive Skill Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Boilermakers.
• Returned an interception 22 yards to go along with eight tackles at Iowa (8-31) to earn Co-Defensive Skill Player of the Week honors.
• Led NIU with 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, at Idaho (9-14).

• Made 38 stops, 22 solo, in nine games.
• Forced a team-high three fumbles.
• Made an acrobatic interception along the sidelines in the second quarter of the MAC Championship game against Kent State (11-30) to set up a Huskie touchdown.
• Recorded a career-high 10 tackles and two forced fumbles versus Iowa (9-1).
• Tallied five tackles, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble against Central Michigan (9-29).
