Finished the season with 24 tackles, 17 solo, and five pass breakups. Made four tackles and broke up two passes in the bowl win versus Arkansas State (1-8). Broke up a last-second Hail Mary pass against Eastern Michigan (11-25) to clinch a Huskie victory and the MAC West Division title. Made three tackles against Ball State (11-15) to earn the Defensive Skill Player of the Week Award. Registered four tackles and a pass breakup at Bowling Green (11-8). Posted four tackles and knocked down a pass against Western Michigan (10-15). Made one assisted tackle in the Wisconsin (9-17) game. Recorded a career-high six tackles at Kansas (9-10). Tallied two solo stops versus Army (9-3) and had a tackle for loss. 2010: Saw action in three contests on the year. Played in the Buffalo (10-16), Central Michigan (10-23) and Eastern Michigan (11-26) games. Entered the games on special teams and also saw action at cornerback in dominating NIU victories. Named the Huskies' work team player of the week for the Illinois (9-18) game. 2009: Redshirted. High School: Named a first team all-area and all-conference defensive back in 2008. Recorded 39 tackles, including 29 solo. Added three pass break ups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked punt. Selected to play in the Pensacola Sports Association East-West Game in 2008. Helped his team to a 10-2 record, conference and district championships, and the region 4A title game. Also played wide receiver, totaling eight catches for 120 yards and a touchdown during his final season. Garnered honorable mention accolades during the national underclassmen combine in 2007.
