2005: Redshirted. Signed National Letter as DE. Reported to August drills as No. 5 DT.

Prep: Consensus First-Team All-State D-line prospect. Recorded 182 career stops, 53 tackles for loss, and 17 QB sacks (2002-04). Produced 45 tackles for losses in last two campaigns. Lettered on teams that won 33 of 37 games. Named team captain, team Most Valuable Defensive Player, and team Attitude Award recipient, First-Team All-North Shore Conference and league Co-Defensive Player of the Year, First-Team CNI-NewsGraphic All-Area, First-Team Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State, and First-Team Milwaukee Journal Sentinel All-State on league champion and state Division I (Large Schools) playoff entry as a senior for coach Dave Keen. Credited with two pass deflections, eight QB sacks, 22 tackles for losses, and 71 overall stops (2004). Selected First-Team All-NSC and loop Defensive Player of the Year, Second-Team Milwaukee Journal Sentinel All-Area and Honorable Mention All-State on 12-1 playoff unit as a junior. Produced 64 stops, 22 TFL, and three QB sacks (2003). Notched 47 tackles and three deflections as a soph. Played on South Team in WFCA Shrine Game (2005).
