NIU captured its first MAC football championship since 1983, defeating Ohio, 23-20

2010: Spent his first season at NIU backing up Vern Smith Award winner Chad Spann at tailback. Saw action in 13 games and ranked third on the team in rushing with 366 yards on 38 carries, including two touchdowns. Averaged 9.6 yards per carry and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. Had at least one carry in 10 of NIU's 14 games on the year. Caught four passes for 10 yards and returned 12 kickoffs for 224 yards to average 18.7 yards per kickoff. Totaled 600 all-purpose yards to rank fifth on the team. Rushed for 22 yards on five carries and added a six-yard reception in his NIU debut in the season opener at Iowa State (9-2). Completed his first career touchdown pass on a 19-yard completion to Landon Cox at Illinois (9-18) to bring NIU within two points (21-19) in the fourth quarter. Rushed for 70 yards on five carries, including a 55-yard touchdown run against Toledo (11-9). Posted his first career 100-yard rushing game with a career-high 104 yards on just four carries at Eastern Michigan (11-26) highlighted by a 74-yard touchdown run, Had a 110-yard all-purpose day at Akron with three kickoff returns, including a season-long 33-yarder, and 29 rushing yards on five carries. Posted a 35-yard rush versus Fresno State in the Humanitarian Bowl (12-18). Picked up 41 yards on four carries with a long of 38 versus North Dakota (9-11). Notched 32-yard kickoff returns in the Temple (10-9) and Buffalo (10-16) games. Participated in 2010 spring practices after arriving on campus at NIU for spring 2010 semester.

Fort Scott C.C.: Named National Junior College Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year and Jayhawk Conference Player of the Year after leading the NJCAA in rushing with 1,931 yards and helping lead the Fort Scott Greyhounds to their first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference title in 35 years and the first Region 6 title in school history. Led the nation in rushing yards per game with 160.9, while his 16 rushing touchdowns were tied for fifth. Also garnered KJCCC Offensive Player of the Year honors, leading the league in rushing yards, all-purpose yards, scoring and touchdowns. Averaged 25 carries per game, posting 11 straight 100 games, including four 200-yard rushing games. In two seasons, totaled 3,158 rushing yards - second highest total in school history - while helping the Greyhounds to 20 victories. Rushed for a season-high 267 yards on 35 carries and scored two touchdowns against Garden City (Kan.) on Sept. 19, 2009. Gained 188 rushing yards on 35 carries in national championship game against Blinn JC. Collected 1,250 yards on 300 carries and 12 touchdowns in his first year with the Greyhounds. Also caught three passes for touchdowns his freshman season. Team advanced to nationals where they finished as runners-up after claiming the conference championship title.

High School: Ran for 1,901 yards on 250 carries, and 28 touchdowns his senior season in 2006 to set the school record for most rushing yards in a single season. Earned All-Gaston Gazette honors while leading East Gaston to a co-Big South Conference title and a school-record 11 victories. Tallied 120 yards and one touchdown on two kickoff returns his final season. Named to first team all-conference squad as a senior. Also named Team MVP and the team's Best Running Back as a senior. Multi-sport athlete also played basketball, baseball and track.
