2005: Did not play. Listed as No. 4 SS on August deeps (2005). Blocked 2nd quarter punt in spring game (4-23-05).

2004: Red-shirted as true frosh. Reported to camp as No. 4 WLB.

Prep: Lettered in football (2) and baseball (1). Versatile performer with snaps at OLB, RB, SS, and on special teams. Repeat All-Area grid performer. Collected 200 career tackles and eight QB sacks in two varsity campaigns (2002-03). Named team captain, First-Team All-City, First-Team All-Big Eight Conference, and First-Team Capital Times All-Area on 8-1 loop champion and state playoff qualifier as a senior for coach Gary Kolpin. Rushed for 240 yards and four TDs on 30 carries, made four receptions for 100 yards and one TD, returned 11 kickoffs for 325 yards (29.5 ypr.) and one TD, notched 95 stops, and blocked one kick (2003). Selected First-Team All-City, First-Team All-Big Eight, and First-Team All-Area on 6-4 state playoff unit as a junior. Registered 105 tackles and six sacks (2002). Transferred from Madison Edgewood after frosh year. Honor Roll student.

Personal: Twin brother Jack Ikegwuonu won First-Team All-State honors, signed a National Letter of Intent with Wisconsin (2004), and listed as DB on 2005 UW roster.
