On August 16, the NIU Football team got its first look at their new home uniforms.
2013 First team All-MAC selection. Ranked second on the team and Xth in the MAC with 87 tackles. His six tackles for loss were sixth on the team; added 1.5 sacks. Named one of NIU's defensive players of the game three times by coaches Recorded 10 tackles at Iowa (8-31) to tie his career high, with a forced fumble. Tied for team-high honors with six tackles versus Utah State (12-26) in the Poinsettia Bowl and with seven tackles at Central Michigan (10-19). Led NIU with eight tackles, including a tackle for loss, forced a fumble and had a QB hurry at Kent State (10-5). Tallied nine stops, a sack, a tackle for loss and a pass break up versus Eastern Illinois (9-21) to earn NIU Player of the Week award.
2012 Third on the team in tackles with 83, including 45 solo stops and six tackles for loss. Tied his career-high with 10 stops, including six solo, in NIU's victory over Army (9-15). Tallied a team-high nine stops at Western Michigan (10-27) and returned an interception 44 yards to set up a Huskie touchdown. Recorded eight tackles, including a half sack, in the MAC Championship game against Kent State (11-30). Named one of the NIU defensive players of the game after making six solo stops against Toledo (11-14) Started 13 of 14 games at outside linebacker for the Huskies.
2011 Named to the MAC All-Freshman Team by Rivals.com. Saw action in 11 games and started 10 at weakside linebacker with at least four stops in 10 games. Ranked sixth on the team with 62 stop and was fifth in tackles for loss with 5.5. Recorded five tackles against Kent State (10-8) with two tackles for minus five yards and a pass breakup to earn NIU's Defensive Skill Player of the Week award. Led the Huskies with a career-high 10 tackles against Central Michigan (10-1), including one for loss. Notched two solo and six assisted tackles in his collegiate debut versus Army (9-3).
2010 Redshirted as a true freshman.
High School An All-Broward County first team selection at linebacker as a senior with 165 tackles for Miramar team that won the 6A state title. Tallied 90 solo stops and 75 assists, forced three fumbles and recovered two, and broke up three passes. Four-year varsity letterwinner served as team captain as a senior. Invited to play in the Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game. Credited with 105 tackles, 65 solo, his junior year. Also reached the 100-tackle mark as a sophomore with 75 solo stops. Totaled 450 tackles, 260 solo, forced six fumbles, recovered seven and broke up five passes for teams that compiled a 43-9 record.
