2013: Second on the team in tackles with 75 on the season...Made five stops against Ball State (11-13)...Registered eight tackles at Toledo (11-20)...Recorded five tackles, including a half tackle for loss at UMass (11/2)...Tallied five tackles, four solo, and a pass break up versus Eastern Michigan...Recorded a team-high eight tackles, including a tackle for loss, forced a fumble and had a quarterback hurry at Kent State (10-5)...Tallied nine stops, a sack, a tackle for loss and a pass break up versus Eastern Illinois (9-21)...Recorded 10 tackles in the season opening win at Iowa (8-31) tying his career high set at Army in 2012...Tied a team high with seven tackles at Central Michigan (10/19)...Forced a fumble against the Hawkeyes that led to the NIU defense's first turnover of the season...Tallied six tackles and a sack at Idaho (9-14)...Recorded six tackles at Purdue (9-28)... 2012:
Third on the team in tackles with 83 in 14 contests. Had 45 solo tackles and six tackles for loss. Tied his career-high in tackles with 10 stops, including six solo, in NIU's victory over Army (9-15). Tallied a team-high nine stops at Western Michigan (10-27). Also returned an interception 44 yards against the Broncos, setting up a Huskie touchdown on the very next play. Recorded eight tackles, including a half sack, in the MAC Championship game against Kent State (11-30). Made six solo stops, including two for a loss, against Toledo (11-14) when he was named one of the Huskies' defensive players of the game. Forced a fumble and made six tackles against UT Martin (9-8). Posted 1.5 tackles for loss and three tackles versus Kansas (9-22). Tallied five tackles, including a tackle for loss, at Akron (10-20). Recorded four solo tackles against UMass (11-3). Tallied three tackles at Eastern Michigan (11-23). Started 13 of 14 games at outside linebacker for the Huskies.

2011: Named to the MAC All-Freshman Team by Rivals.com. Saw action in 11 games and started 10 at weakside linebacker. Missed the Bowling Green (11-8), Ball State (11-15) and Eastern Michigan (11-25) games. Made at least four stops in 10 games. Ranked sixth on the team with 62 tackles and was fifth in tackles for loss with 5.5. Made four tackles against Arkansas State (1-8), including one for a 10-yard loss, to hold the Red Wolves to a field goal in the first quarter. Tallied seven tackles against Ohio (12-2) in the MAC Championship game. Recorded five tackles against Kent State (10-8) with two tackles for losses of five yards and a pass breakup to earn NIU's Defensive Skill Player of the Week award. Led the Huskies with a career-high 10 tackles against Central Michigan (10-1), including one for loss.Made five total tackles with a tackle for loss versus Wisconsin (9-17). Notched two solo and six assisted tackles in his collegiate debut versus Army (9-3).

2010: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: An All-Broward County first team selection at linebacker as a senior after making 165 tackles for the Miramar team that won the 6A state title in 2009. Tallied 90 solo stops and 75 assists, forced three fumbles and recovered two, and broke up three passes. Four-year varsity letterwinner served as team captain as a senior. Invited to play in the Dade vs. Broward All-Star Game. Credited with 105 tackles, 65 solo, his junior year. Forced one fumble, recovered three and broke up two passes. Also reached the 100-tackle mark in his sophomore year with 75 solo stops. In his prep career, totaled 450 tackles, 260 solo, six forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and five pass break-ups. Miramar went 14-1 in 2009 and took home the regional crown in 2008 with an 11-3 mark. During Bass' prep career, the Patriots posted 43-9 record. Earned the Monsignor Pace 3.0 GPA award in 2007-08.
