NIU defeats Iowa, 30-27

NIU rallied for a 30-27 victory over Iowa Saturday.

Compiled 37 tackles, 26 solo, at linebacker in 2014. Also has 1.5 tackles for loss. Tied for the team lead with two fumble recoveries. Set a career high with six tackles against Western Michigan. Recovered his second fumble of the year by falling on a fumbled kick return against the Broncos, helping him earn NIU Special Teams Player of the Week honors.. Recovered his first career fumble at Ball State, helping set up an NIU touchdown. Added four tackles against the Cardinals. Tallied three stops, including one for a loss, against Kent State. Opened the year with four stops against Presbyterian. Recorded multiple tackles in each of the last six games. Had an assisted TFL as part of a three-tackle day at Eastern Michigan.


• True freshman appeared in 11 games and started two at outside linebacker.
• Made 42 tackles, including 27 solo stops, on the season.
• Also broke up three passes and recorded three tackles for loss.
• Made three tackles in his first career appearance at Purdue (9-28).
