Led team in receiving with 15 catches for 241 yards and three touchdowns on offense and totaled 35 tackles, five interceptions, and two pass deflections on defense for 13-1 league champion and Class 7A runner-up during his senior season. Caught two passes for 13 yards and had two tackles in the state title game. Set a school record for kickoff returns with 698 yards on 29 attempts (24.1 avg.). Entered his senior campaign as first team Northwest Indiana Times All-Area, Chicago Sun-Times Top Five Players in Catholic League and Area Top 100 Players, and Chicago Tribune league Top Five Players and Area Top 100 Players. Made 18 receptions for 270 yards and three TDs on 9-4 Class 6A semifinalist as a junior. Caught 13 passes for 103 yards and two TDs and made two starts at quarterback during his sophomore season. Three-time letterwinner in football and basketball. Named to a pair of basketball all-tournament teams during his prep career. National Honor Society member and Honor Roll student.
