NIU defeats Iowa, 30-27

NIU rallied for a 30-27 victory over Iowa Saturday.

Starting left tackle has been one of the Huskies’ top offensive linemen in 2015. NIU has recorded 300 or more rushing yards in three games with a season-high 334 at Buffalo. O-line did not allow a sack in WMU or CMU games. The line has led the way for Joel Bouagnon’s MAC-leading 1,000-yard rushing campaign as well as 31 rushing scores. NIU also ranks sixth in the country in red zone offense and is 33rd in scoring offense. Myers, along with Aidan Conlon and Andrew Ness, have been the constants on the Huskie offensive line. In his first year as a starter.

• Appeared in all 14 games.
• Served as the reserve left tackle and played on offense and special teams.
• Blocked on an offensive line that conceded only 14 quarterback sacks on the year.
• Played in the MAC Championship Game against Bowling Green (12-5) for the second consecutive year.
• Helped the Huskies average 5.1 yards per carry while scoring 36 rushing touchdowns.
